No subscription. You pay once to activate your card, then buy credits only when you need them. One credit is one bid placed on Freelancer.com; searching projects and writing AI proposals are free.
Card activation: $1 once
We receive a lot of spam and fake sign-ups. To keep free credits for real freelancers, every new account verifies a payment card with a one-time $1 card activation. It unlocks 100 free credits (100 bids) once your Freelancer.com account is connected. You pay it once per account, and it is refundable within 14 days.

What a credit buys
- One credit is used when a bid you placed with Apply Now is accepted by Freelancer.com.
- If Freelancer.com refuses the bid, or the bid cannot be placed, the credit goes straight back to your balance.
- Searching projects, drafting AI proposals, templates and statistics are free.
Payment, tax and refunds
Prices are in US dollars. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle adds sales tax or VAT where it applies and sends your receipt. You can ask for a refund within 14 days; see the Refund Policy.
